PAU STARTUP PAIBYTWO PVT. LTD. SECURES DESIGN PATENT FOR INNOVATIVE PEST MONITORING DEVICE "PAIMONITOR"

The Punjab Agricultural Business Incubator (PABI) proudly announced that PaibyTwo Private Limited, one of its incubated startups, has been granted a design patent for its innovative product, PaiMonitor, in the category of Insect Monitoring Devices for Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This recognition from the Government of India's Patent Office underscores the startup's commitment to technological innovation in agriculture and sustainable farming practices.
The PaiMonitor is a cutting-edge, automated insect monitoring device designed to address critical challenges in IPM. By enabling precise pest population tracking, it aids farmers and researchers in implementing sustainable solutions that reduce pesticide misuse, promote eco-friendly farming, and enhance overall crop health. This patented design showcases PaibyTwo's dedication to advancing precision agriculture through innovation.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), lauded the achievement, calling it a testament to the role of innovation in modern agriculture. He emphasized that the design patent reflects the potential of agri-startups to address real-world challenges. Dr MS Bhullar, Director of Extension Education, highlighted the impact of precision tools like PaiMonitor in empowering farmers to manage pests efficiently while promoting sustainable farming practices.
Dr TS Riar, Principal Investigator, and Dr Poonam Sachdev, Co-Principal Investigator at PABI, celebrated the milestone, acknowledging the start-up's ground-breaking efforts in bridging technology and agriculture. They emphasized that this achievement aligns perfectly with PABI's mission to foster agri-innovation and transform the agricultural landscape through sustainable solutions.
