Two emerging agripreneurs, S Jagroop Singh and S Sarabjeet Singh, from village Kaunke Kalan, Ludhiana, visited the NIDHI-Technology Business Incubator (TBI) team at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) to seek assistance with packaging, branding, labelling, and marketing of their products, jaggery and turmeric, respectively.
S Jagroop Singh, who is venturing into jaggery production under the brand name The Countryman, sought guidance on creating a packaging label, logo, and suitable packaging solutions. The NIDHI-TBI team promptly resolved his queries, assuring him of an attractive packaging design and brand logo to enhance market appeal.
Similarly, S Sarabjeet Singh, engaged in turmeric agribusiness, presented similar concerns about branding and packaging. His queries were also addressed, with detailed solutions provided on the spot.
Dr Ramandeep Singh, Principal Investigator of NIDHI-TBI, Director of PAU’s School of Business Studies (SBS), and PAU-FEDS, extended his support by providing insights into marketing strategies and guiding them on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) to enhance the quality and marketability of their products.
The NIDHI-TBI team, including CEO Gurinder Singh and Business Manager Sameer Gautam, showcased samples of cardboard packaging and food-grade plastic packaging, advising the entrepreneurs on the best options for their products. The team also guided them through the registration process, emphasizing the benefits of professional branding, labelling, and packaging in building a competitive edge in the market.
